President

Email: jennifer@bdptraffic.com

For over a decade, BDP Traffic Management Ltd.’s (BDPTM) founder and president Jennifer Kowal has been leading the force in Grande Prairie’s road safety with her team of experts.

Born in the Northwest Territories and a graduate from Tumbler Ridge Secondary in British Columbia, Kowal launched her journey into traffic management entrepreneurship, starting in the forestry industry as a technician. She continued to develop her portfolio in safety by obtaining certifications on several levels.

Beginning with one pilot truck, Kowal progressively built her company into a professional and dependable traffic management business. After landing an opportunity with one of Alberta’s largest powerline companies, Kowal’s focus directed to traffic control operations and the development of BDP Traffic Management was established in 2017.

Today, she owns a fleet of traffic control units and pilot car trucks, which help assist in extreme levels of safety from highway emergency plane landings to on-call, 24-hour service. She considers her staff to be like members of the family, and together they strive to keep the roads safe for their clients and the public.

In the community, she has been a proud Grande Prairie resident for over two decades. Kowal and her BDPTM team have provided thousands of dollars through philanthropy efforts by donating to and sponsoring local sports teams including the Bantam A Hockey Teams, the women’s league ball hockey, the Wapiti Shooter’s Club and the FIGHT FOR HER – Amateur Charity Boxing Match.
